Help with Assembly and Shipping

Many people have a perception of shipping sofas that they take months and the furniture can be damaged and anyway it is hard to assemble a sectional.

Well, it's not. The estimated arrival times are conservative estimates.  Since the products are coming directly from manufacturers all over the world, shipping time depends on where you are in relation to the manufacturer. Secondly manufacturers ship products with exceptional care so you don't need to worry about any damaged product. If you still find some irregularities, you can simply send your sofa back. And the third point is just ridiculous. As I will mention later, sectionals developed a lot in the recent years so it will probably take less then an hour to piece it together.

First of all you need to know that almost all the time when shipping is free is is meant for Curb Side Delivery. That is the standard way of shipping, which does not include inside placement or set up. The furniture you ordered will be shipped at the front area of your workplace or front door of your home. They will probably deliver it during business hours between 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, by appointment. If you choose this, don't worry about carrying it inside because they are in smaller chunks weighing less then 70 pounds usually.

If you'd like, you could call over some friends or the neighbors to help you out, otherwise you might find White Glove Delivery more appealing. White Glove Delivery includes various levels of inside delivery, unpacking and assembly of your order. It is usually around 100 - 150 dollars extra. A 2 man professional team unpacks it, sets it up, and carries it up to two flights of stairs.

After your furniture arrived at your home and you brought it inside the only thing that remains is putting it together. You might think of a lot of screws and bolts, but don't. Most of the sectionals come in, you guessed it, sections. These sections have hooks on each side, so you just need to raise one end and lower it really close to the other and you're done! Sometimes you need to tighten some rods but it really shouldn't take more then an hour.  Make sure that the sections are close together as this will make coupling the sections easier.
